ReplyDeleteActually, LWB does have a system like that - and since collaborators have access to the LWB forums, we can pretty much coordinate with one another regarding things like this...
It minimizes clashes between collaborators, but still... sniping happens.
As for people paying for things, if it's commission based, then that's simply because there's a demand that is not met by the current system. If you're talking about aggregator sites making money out of our free scanlations, that's a different story, altogether. Don't want to delve on that, though, because that's off topic.
A system like that would only work if there weren't much aggressions between some groups (and aggregator sites too).
ReplyDeleteI could think of at last two to three persons/groups/sites that would exploit a system like that like a $1 whore just for their own petty gain.
Actually, we could maybe have a system like that and only invite the people we know don't do shit like that.
ReplyDeleteIt would reek of arbitrariness and separating groups into "good" and "bad" though, which would lead to bad blood.
Well, one could think LWB already does employ a system like that, with 5 to 6 groups, among which are YQII, Ryuutama, Genesis, BCL, Chocolate Scans, Slayerjammer, Soba-Scans, some freelance people.
