[Kamino Ryu-ya] The Princess of Golf (Golf no Ohime-sama) [ENG]
Yup. Another Ryu-ya work. I really... REALLY like her work. She's a genius. She knows how to make them tsundere nice and juicy. No difference here, either. If you like your tsundere a little athletic - then by all means, this is perfect. Go for the birdie, yeah! :D
EDIT: Oh yeah... and it was my first try at re-drawing in this one. Okay... second. The first time was a translucent bubble from a touhou doujin that we have yet to release. :O

Sigh... I'm kinda disappointed with the change in DPI... the original scan was bad enough to begin with... but changing it again after I edited it made things even worse. -_-;
ReplyDeleteIf you really like Kamino Ryu-ya...Mozaiku X Sanshimai plz? (sorry, couldn't resist)

ReplyDeleteTouche, you have a point. D:
I've been waiting on my chapter 9 since forever. Blame it on Tech. Otherwise, I'm gonna have to do it by myself, again. D:
First chapter published in Comic Megastore 2009-12 ---> http://exhentai.org/s/cf5d944be8/219345-52
ReplyDeleteSecond chapter published in Comic Megastore 2010-03 ---> http://exhentai.org/s/7161a307c5/219463-54
Dunno if this serie will continue or not, btw thanks for the translation.
Thanks a lot, guys :)
ReplyDeleteI wanted to add a little contribution, as another way to express my thanks. How to say it, as a middle man, I reguarly feel I'm useless otherwise I can bring a little something back, if you see what I mean ?
Anyway, so, there you are, a bit of redrawing and filling-in-the-gaps, for the double-page :)

ReplyDeleteI really wish people would share these raws earlier... the scan quality in this is HELL better... or at least bigger in terms of size.
Thanks! Definitely WILL get on to working on the second part, right tech? D:
@Oliver
ReplyDeleteOoh! Sweet! That's awesome, Oliver! :D
I've been wondering how that's done. Redraw... really? Haha, you have my thanks!
Well, if you want to do it, Edmx, it's extremely easy once you're told the tricks to use.
ReplyDeleteIn the present case, basically, 3 methods were enough, plus brains.
- first : selecting, cloning, extending.
-> Select a line with the lasso tool, V on the keyboard to be in the "moving" options, and alt-click-and-drag to clone and extend the line over the blank zone.
Control-T to rotate this line to follow curves or bendings. Sometimes several select-clone-rotate operations are required to give a natural feeling.
- clone stamp.
-> Usually 100% hardness, sometimes just 20% hardness for fucken zones with soft gray shade patterned nuances.
Sometimes you've gotta first select with the lasso tool the zone in which you'll do the clone stamping, this way you don't overlap into areas that shouldn't be rewritten.
- content-aware.
-> When clone stamping gives ugly results because of fucken patterns looking weird when you zoom out, you can select the border zone and ask content aware to guess the transition pattern, it looks better when you zoom out.
- when brains aren't enough to guess what's missing : simple rule, go for symmetry ! Most of the time, that's enough to cheat the eye into not seeing if something isn't as it should be in an ideal world.
Try it, I'm sure it'll greatly help :)
Aaaaw yeah, I love her work too. Thanks for the release.
ReplyDelete@Oliver
ReplyDeleteHmm... Interesting. Really ought to give that a try next time. Thanks tons! :D

ReplyDeleteI just read through the 2nd installment, and I gotta say... it's hot. D: Looks like an easy edit with no spreads or rewriting, so I can get this cleaned and translated in no time. It all depends on typesetting, though... *whistles*
