Yeah, so that's what I look like at the moment (yes... including the headphones.  Although mine are AKG K242HD)... kinda burnt out after finishing a marketing proposal, and still bummed out knowing I have a paper that needs to be submitted in 15 minutes.  That said, I began thinking if it'd be a good idea to share some non-H translations in the group.  (Don't mind the details about that segue)

Why the sudden suggestion?  Well, for one thing, I didn't start out translating hentai manga from the get-go.  I actually started with two projects with our soon-to-be-introduced newest member, which got me rummaging through my old files for the said projects.  I felt it'd be a shame not to share them (since they're actually pretty good), but I thought I'd hear what other people had to say before doing so.

That and the fact that Tech's computer is fried and is in the computer shop for repairs.  That means an added delay in the release of Chapter 7 and a bigger lag time... Man, I'm so sorry, guys. D:  I guess I'm trying to look for something to fill in the void?  I dunno... I'm just making random mumbles at the moment.  Feel free to comment.

I just got chapter 7 cleans from our newest member which I won't mention until the release and that will only be from the staff notes. Info regarding our NEW project (after our little skullfuck Ed failed badly) will be ToLoveRu Darkness and we plan on being the first group to release a translated and QC'd chapter 3.

After getting our shit together after Thanksgiving and Black Friday (I had plenty of shits and giggles for that), we've finally started working on chapter 7 of mozaiku and our newest project below. (Insert Ed's Comment - wait... you mean you only started working on it NOW?)  Our newest member, to be introduced with the chapter 7 release, promised me the cleans within 3-5 days since I gave her two projects at once so we'll see how fast it takes.

EDIT: In addition, Tech and I were chatting earlier about why Oreimo titles in the e-hentai galleries are so messed up (they seriously are... and they come in a buhzillion different languages), only to find an inconspicuously tucked away Hyoco Road Oreimo doujinshi that was only but translated into Spanish and Chinese.  What's with that?  Injustice, right?  Yeah.  We're outraged.  So outraged we're at 50% translation as we speak.

Tag system is a serious skullfuck and is probably going to be fixed by one of us when we feel like / bossed around by me.  Just a sneak peek on how our little group goes through QC and scripts and what not, have fun with the lulz. Miku is going through final QC and will release once Ed returns the copy I gave him, then we will introduce a new member and some staff changes followed by chapter 7.

Just gonna re-iterate them, there:

1. Page 8, Cell 2

• Place the original text "...?" inside the blank bubble.

2. Page 7, Cells 1 & 2

• Do a text overlay, imitating the original
• Use white text and place it beside Takuto's face
• If it looks difficult to read, try put a drop shadow (F1 Photoshop when in doubt)

3. Page 8, Cell 3, Miku line 7.2

• It should end with "songs!" in the plural with an exclamation point

4. Suggestion for fonts

• Maybe we could try a more expressive fonts for screams or shouts of ecstasy, like that used in this translation
  .  It doesn't have to look exactly like that, but my point is they used a different font than the main text, and it has more feeling to it.

Oh, and since Nemesis is actually part of LWB and not Vanilla, should I change the credits page?  Plus, are we going to include Nash in the credits for QC?

What I pointed out meant squat compared to the QC work Nash did.  It was pretty meticulous - which I liked, very much - so that said, it motivated me to try re-typesetting the work, myself, while I asked Tech to focus on chapter 7.  Typesetting status is around 50% complete... I'll finish it up when I get home later, today.

[news] Releases and Black Ops Drama

Woooosh, that's what I've been hearing in my ears when I found out Adobe is stupid... Quad monitors and I can't boot CS5, Tri monitors and its fine. Anyway, our Miku project is going past QC and is nearing release, chapter 7 is going to be next after Miku goes live (goody) and then we will probably pick one request to work on in the meanwhile. DASK GOT BANNED FROM BLACK OPS ON 3RD PRESTIGE HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

[News] We're not dead (yet)

Yeah.  Far from dead - more like "preoccupied".  Or at least Dask is.  Funny how he still has the time to respond with his own comic doodle in the last post.

But meh... On to more important matters, we just got a delightful little email from Nash over at Team Vanilla that a little project we planned on previously is ready and all that's left is typesetting.  Sweet!  Hopefully we'll see it within the next few days.  Until then, here's a little preview:

Update: So yeah, mTech finally gets home after a night out with friends, only to find that his Adobe CS5 is fried, and he needs to download it all over again.  Not a hitch for the dude who boasts he can re-download the whole thing in 10 minutes, right?  I shouldn't worry, right?  Yeah... I shouldn't. :S

Update: Fucking Adobe won't let me boot CS5 with 4 monitors connected but will if I UNPLUG one and boot with 3 detected monitors then replug one in... Seriously? -Tech

[News] Updated release schedule and what not...

Mozaiku x Sanshimai is being pushed back to a 10day release schedule because of problems with QC and well... A certain doctor is rather peeved about both chapters not meeting his expectations, expect chapter 7 on Thursday. We are working on a project to fill in the gap though. Blame the doctor.

[News] Mass Emails and Joints and Denials...

First off, we are responding to all the requests we've received and emails pertaining to joint projects. We've also sent a few of our own emails concerning joints and we are eagerly awaiting responses so we can start cranking out our work ASAP. Secondly, our responses to said emails were rather slow as in we mentioned on Halloween, the entire team has been fucking around and generally enjoying the REAL WORLD (parties, drunks, hospital visitation, Dask turning backwards for his bitch). Keep sending us requests and what not, they honestly remind us why we are doing this (yes I personally read each email we receive).  ~Tech

In an effort to preserve the diverse subculture of anime, manga, and video games, the Meiji University of Tokyo announced during the recently concluded August Comiket that they have plans of erecting an entire complex dedicated to this eccentric hobby.  Planned for completion by FY 2014, the so-called Tokyo International Manga Library boasts reading rooms, a dedicated theater/viewing room, a large archive of up to 200,000 different serialized titles and (get this) 2,000,000 doujins from previous Comiket conventions, an interactive acrade-game center for past and future arcade games with 800 titles already up on the roster, a museum which showcases different exhibits ranging from artworks to figurines, and a large event hall for future events... possibly even mini comikets!

More reason to visit the mecca of anime?  You bet.

I had to break an arm and a leg just to get this out they way it SHOULD come out.  The results of this little fiasco: 1) a new script system that screams FAWKBRAINLEZ to ensure the least amount of misunderstanding; 2) an appeal for more fonts, because the world needs more fonts; 3) a reshuffling of positions, because someone needs to be fired, and someone needs to be hired.

But it's worth it, I guess.  For the megane-cons out there, Yuki shines in this chapter.  Anal SFX girl with a dirty mouth?  More SHOOP SHOOP please!  Yes, because you know you like the SHOOP SHOOP, yes?

Chapter 6 [v1] Staff Changes and a v2 for chapter 6 announcement

Chapter 6 [v1] missing final QC to make it perfect... I figured we had to get SOMETHING out today rather than Thursday. Blame the Kraut. Expect EdMX to either clean up this post or give me the go-ahead to re-release chapter 6 if a v2 is required. Stay tuned.

Sorry, I just came from duty in the hospital, hence why I wasn't able to QC on time.  There's a reason WHY you need to QC before releasing something... so sorry, boys and girls... this release will have to wait.  I need to verbally abuse my colleagues.  ~ EdMX

Chapter 6 delayed

Blame the Kraut. I'm waiting for the last 3 pages and he stalls and makes up as many excuses as possible. He finishes the pages then sits his ass on the PSD's and doesn't bother to email me them because his grasp of the english language is so poor he thought that I wanted the initial typeset @ 7PM PST. Idiot.

We are currently in a drunk mood at the moment, I'm completely smashed, Dask got smashed twice as bad and nearly got arrested for somebody spoiling the party with somebody bringing the wrong party favors and just passed out 5 minutes after this posting, Ed is on duty and Kraut has college tests so... Yeah... 50% chance that chapter 6 for Mozaiku will miss the Monday deadline @ 7pm PST and may be up later around midnight or early Tuesday...
