Translation Request Guidelines

Good news everyone!

We've decided to accept translation requests (at least 1 or 2 a week). We'll do the job when we have some time during our own time so don't expect that we'll grant your wishes in a blink of an eye. However, you can be sure that we will fulfill your request(s) if it meets the requirements. PLEASE, PLEASE, DO READ THE GUIDELINES for there are some of us who still remain abound to our morals.

Any requests MUST BE submitted only and only at gteamtranslators@gmail.com DO NOT POST REQUESTS IN COMMENTS ETC.

GUIDELINES:

- THE TITLE OF THE E-MAIL SHOULD BE THE NAME OF THE DOUJIN (i.e: [Req] 'title')

- PROVIDE A DIRECT URL LINK TO A E-HENTAI GALLERY IN THE EMAIL, NO ATTACHMENTS

- IF IT IS NOT ON E-HENTAI, THEN UPLOAD IT YOURSELF (rapidshare, megaupload, mediafire etc.) AND SEND THE DOWNLOAD LINK TO THE E-MAIL WE PROVIDED EDIT: NO MIRRORS, I DON'T WANT TO RISK A VIRUS FROM A COMMIEFAG

- THE FOLLOWING WILL BE IGNORED IF IT CONTAINS ANYTHING NEAR THESE TAGS : EXTREME LOLI, RAPE, GURO, DISTURBING CONTENTS, SCAT, JUST ABOUT ANYTHING WE WILL REJECT ON OUR MORAL GROUNDS (this sounded like we're against sex hmmm...), YOU KNOW THE DRILL.

- NO MORE THAN 30 PAGES LONG, ALTHOUGH WE MIGHT MAKE EXCEPTIONS IF THE DOUJIN IS WORTH THE WORK. SO DON'T HESITATE TO ASK AND TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THAT IT MIGHT TAKE LONGER FOR THE DOUJIN TO BE RELEASED.

- TRANSLATIONS AND CLEANING WILL BE FOCUSED MORE ON SPEED TO BE DONE QUICKLY BUT WE WILL MAKE SURE THAT IT'S AT LEGIBLE AND UNDERSTANDABLE. KEEP IN MIND THAT WE HAVE OUR DEADLINES TO KEEP, SO THE QUALITY MIGHT BE NOT AT ITS BEST WHEN COMPARED TO OUR ACTUAL OFFICIAL RELEASED PROJECTS. BETTER THAN NOTHING, RIGHT?

This is us being generous, so the guideline must be followed. We are just trying to keep ourselves occupied and dedicated (while it last) because we do this on our own free time. And last but not least, this generous offer is subject to change or cancelled if circumstances allows it - we have our own priorities (no, not these doujins) despite our character... And speaking of which, I have a date in an hour (I do not work on doujins when she's in my house :x). PEACE!

-Dask

P.S
Tech would be the one in charge of looking over requests, so do greet him when you send your request...

P.P.S
On second thought, be an asshole about it when you ask Tech (just make sure you follow the guidelines and you'll be speaking the same language as him plus your doujin request(s) being okay'd).

  1. Just a piece of advice. Requests can drain you real quick. It's not like taking requests is a bad thing, but saying you'll do one to two a week? Even if you half-assed those, it's still a real time-killer. Also, out of personal experience, only the 'leftovers' (and I mean that in every sense of the word, as in stuff nobody picked up yet FOR A REASON) are being requested, with the occasional gem in the refuge. Take it from someone with a bit of experience though - request can suck donkey balls for a multitude of reasons. I burned out on those once and I'm really careful when picking requests now...

I saw the first few requests that came in, and yeah... I get your point. And it's not as if we can be really picky about anything, given we're a relatively new group. I'm not even sure it would look good on our part to have 'leftover' doujins translated 'just because'... I guess we have to build up the rep, first, before we can have people requesting us to translate big titles.

Thanks again for the advice, Nash. Always appreciated. :)

Well, just because you're new doesn't mean you have to short-change yourself. I'd actually encourage you to take on something bigger (not particularly in size, but depending on 'impact', which means mainstream artists), because that is the best advertising - unless you feel you can't do them justice or can't take a whole tank because of time or effort issues (translating tanks puts a serious strain on your patience lol).

Yeah, I agree with you there - but I can imagine what it's like racing against a buhzillion other groups to translate an anticipated release (not to mention Ishikei is back and kicking after his injury). I guess it's not much of thinking we can't do them justice; rather, other groups are just that more used to the flow of things that we probably can't chug out content as quickly or as "polished" as theirs.

Either way, I agree with the bigger projects. I've been elbowing mTech about it, and he's cooking up something, I believe. Thanks again, Nash. :D
