Hoho!  About time, don't you think?  Why most certainly yes... unfortunately, you won't find it here.  But worry not - we've uploaded it in our brand new blog over at wordpress, hosted by none other than Fakku.

So yeah, ahem.  Basically, we're moving to the Wordpress site and we'll probably be working details to get our commissions rolling... that is, assuming Tech comes back from the dead.  As it stands, this blog will serve as an archive for all our previous works.  All newer releases will be on the new blog.

[update] Fakku blog and Tokubetsu

Swapping over to the Fakku blog is alot harder than simply taking over a domain and clicking a few buttons. We're currently juggling the new blog and making the final changes + staff notes for Tokubetsu so wait for our Fakku blog to get settled down and we'll christen the new blog with Tokubetsu.

The entire blog and some things will be changed once we make the jump, no more status page. Want to know where we are with a certain project? Ask one of us personally. Others I can't seem to remember right now.

[status + update] RIP & Yay!

First, my computer died.

I come back from my Asia trip and try to boot it up only to find it just sits there like a brick. Did a little tinkering and thought it might of been a faulty power supply. Brought it over to my friends shop to find out that the entire computer has virtually rusted over since my room had an open window combined with a high humidity thanks to San Francisco's famous fog. Was able to salvage some parts (main PSU, 4GB 1333mz x3, ATI v4800's, all hard drives, sound card) but the rest is now rusted junk sitting in my garage. Anyway, I've decided to build a new one ASAP but still working out the parts I should use... Currently looking into a setup ;

• Rampage 3 extreme (or a SuperMicro board)
• i7 960
• EVGA GTX 580's 1536MB SLI
• HAF X case
• SSD for boot (not sure which since I don't want to raid 0 raptors)
• Replace all HD's that are not 2nd gen Blk Caviars with Blk Caviars

I guess I my computer dying was the perfect excuse to rebuild eh?

Anyway, Tokubetsu is nearly done and about to go through its final QC so keep your pants on (or off) and sit on it (or don't).

Hey guys, I originally had planned to release a post yesterday with a raw chatlog of how we here at Genesis get shit down but MSN imploded the chatlogs and I had to manually edit it to resemble anything readable... only to find it still didn't work. Anybody know of a good FREE IM program that makes it easy to copy paste conversations directly on to blogger without any format fuckups?

Anyway, update. Tokubetsu is going through its 2nd QC and after that, the final 'ready to be released' QC so expect it 'soon'.

This is my I'M SO FUCKING SORRY! to you all.  It's been over a month and little has been released by the group due to my "return" to the hospital.  Life is a bitch, and I passed in my thesis, so all is well.

And so what better way to celebrate this by releasing some more Kamino.  Yum, right?  I don't care what it's about - in this case, it's wincest - so long as it's Kamino, we'll be sure to jump right on it like a rabid animal.  That's how much we love this artist. :)

If you're an inquisitive little bee, you might notice a little something in the release notes for this one.  When will the next part come out?  Let's see.  Just think of this as an appetizer for greater things to come. :D

So again, sorry for the disappearing act, and here's to bringing out regular releases!

[update] Almost there...

Yeah, I'm still on hiatus.  I'm really sorry guys... I'm just so busy in real life.

But there's something to look forward to.  My hiatus status will soon be lifted (by the end of the week), and we have an unexpected release (it starts with Nise and ends with kai) that will come out along with my return to "work" here on genesis.  Now that's something to look forward to, indeed. ;)

And regarding reak... it's almost done. :)  So yeah, we have to make it up to you guys - we really do.  That and the fact that I've got a hoard of translating to do with all the work set aside... sigh.  Whoopdeedoo...

[rant + update] Huh?

I'm currently in Taiwan with the worse case of the shits ever. Fuck. You. EVA Air.

Anyway, the reason I'm in Taiwan is I'm currently on a vacation touring HK, Taiwan and mainland China. This should make it 'easier' to contact Ed for projects but he hasn't replied to me for the past 10 days, so we'll see...

[rant] Fix my car dawg.

I'm a total gearhead / petrol head. Same goes for Ed and somewhat Dask. However, I currently am driving my '08 ML350 that I paid cash and wanted for a simple luxury SUV. Here's a list of problems I've had / having in the 31K miles.

Engine & Transmission

• Engine is currently lurching and slipping out of the powerband, letting the car sit while completely warm seems to suggest that either a spark plug needs to be replaced or maybe a faulty fuel injector.
• Transmission is completely mental. 
• It only upshifts when I'm revving the tits off it @ the 7K redline and trying to drive economically.
• It upshifts right when I'm out of the torque range and a good 2-3K from the real power when I plant my foot down and want power.
• The shifts them self seem to come straight out of a '88 Honda civic, they jerk the car like it's a manual and the car seems to lurch when a gear is finally selected.
• Transmission has too many fucking gears and the ratio's are shit. Seven gears. The 1st gear can bring the car up to 40mph while the 7th gear will let the car keep highway speeds at 60mph @ 1.9K rpm. The car fucking idles at 900rpm...

Suspension & Steering

•  The Continental's the car originally came with lasted a nice... 20K miles. The rubbers were rated for a good 50-65K miles. Currently on Pirelli PZERO ROSSO  Mercedes Spec @ a cool $360 a pop (literally!).
•  The stock OEM brakes the car came with lasted a cool... 20K miles with like 90% freeway miles. Just like the tires, they were overrated. In this case, these were rated for 30K city to 40K freeway.
• The brake rotors themselves were also swapped along with the pads. Those rotors were scuffed to shit and were rated for 80K MINIMUM.  
•  The steering rack has to be rebalanced every time I take the damn thing in for a service. 10K miles.
• The car is a bitch to park accurately (as in tiny spots in parallel parking), the car seems to be angled when using wing mirrors.
•  Speaking of the wing mirrors, the passenger mirror was completely smashed off (by the DEALER during a service) and replaced... poorly. The damn thing works when I fold them in, but when it comes to unfolding them, it takes a good 10-30 seconds to lock it in place. Compare to 2-3 seconds for factory spec driver side.

Electrical

• The right turn signal has been utter shit since 10K miles and has been acting up repeatedly. It will either work, or not work. That simple.
• I've probably spent close to 5K to addressing this specific problem.
•  Replaced the OEM factory headlight bulbs with Philips H7's. The OEM ones failed simultaneously while I was on the freeway @ 8pm.
• Center console had to be replaced at C service at 20K.

Build Quality & Etcetera

• Half the buttons and switches in the car are either loose or falling off.
• Something that happened today made me do this rant. I was driving on the freeway doing 80mph tonight @ 3am. Both the rear windows failed for some reason and rolled completely down. Now I usually keep the rear button lock engaged because it gets in the way. I figured no big deal so I tried to roll them back up from the front. I pulled the buttons... and they popped out. I mean just popped out. They flew up and landed in the footwell. I figured, 'Sowut I'll just unlock the rear windows and use those switches'. I pushed the unlock button... and it got stuck. Physically stuck. As in, no movement at all. Great. I had to pull over on the hard shoulder and spend 10 minutes searching for them (and finally finding them under my seat. Spent another 10 minutes getting them back in and working.) Stealership, here I come.
• Sunroof leaks a tiny bit when it's raining hard.
• Passenger side vent for the backseat broke and can't be aimed anymore.
• Rear badges for ML350 & 4MATIC fell off. They were made of plastic.
• Driver's seat has lost lumbar support. The bar doesn't exist anymore.
• Driver's seat has lost back support and has a small amount of give in it. Picture a computer chair that has a lock to prevent you from rocking back. That small rock you get when you lock it? That's what I have to deal with when driving.
• The left blister / bolster on the drivers seat has collapsed. I drive at an angle facing toward the door now...
• The leather on the dash is prone to sun damage.

So please, fix my car dawg.

Simultaneous Kamino releases are always a sign of good things to come - and for reasons more than one, I'm happy the Shintaichuu releases are moving with little hitches.  But there still are SOME hitches... like RL getting in the way and management issues in the group... otherwise, we're still around.  Oh, and I didn't know about this, but apparently we have Phantom Renegade from Trinity Translations helping us out in this one.  Many thanks for the much needed help.

So in this release, we have a little re-visit with our "can't say no" basketball team manager... who just so happens to be the student council president!?  Wooo... And finally, some multiplicity mayhem with twins trying to better one another over a single girl.  Sounds like fun. :)

Since we're on the topic of Kamino, let's just say that Project Sanshimai re:package (yeah, I'm ripping off kz.  Sue me) is still moving smoothly. ;)

[Update] Not yet dead... again.

Just messing around and tidying things up in RL.  Tech is back from wherever it is he went, but is still trying to wrestle our editors for typesets, so that's pulling back our releases a bit.  I, on the other hand, haven't been working on much translations - but once I get this week over with, I'll be working on some already on standby.

In particular, I'll be working on a special "touhou surprise" that even Tech isn't privy to.  Let's just say that I'll be working on a couple extra projects on the side - all with a touhou flare.  We need more touhou on our roster, I think.  About high tide I got that up and running.

So this month is starting on a lul, but I apologize in advance because it isn't going to get kicking until much later.  Still, do have a visit to our archives if anything should interest you.

[random] Project Mio - Commence!

Before everything else - yes, this IS our personal "fucking" blog, so forgive the random insert because I just want to share (while injecting some connection to the group - something I'm good at I think).

Anyway, some of you may not know, but I'm actually an Audiophile.  I've only recently gotten back into my (bad) habit of having a daily dose of aural sex, and I've just realized the urge to upgrade my headphones to my dream - Mio's AKG K701s.  Don't get me wrong, though.  I've had my eye on them even before I saw Mio wearing them in K-ON! ~ but seeing her with them on just made me want them all the more.

I recently re-auditioned the K701's and fell in love with them, again... hence my start of my personal Project Mio.  I shall get them by hook or by crook... which is why we might be opening the possibility of accepting commissions (there's the connection).  In fact, the idea of doing commissions was something Tech and I discussed a long time ago ~ but I was somewhat hesitant to the idea.

Now here I am, somewhat short of cash and in need of war funds to push my project towards fruition.  Gaining some cash through commissions is just one idea... but I'm going to be sourcing funds from other places, of course.  Again, this is all just an idea.  Pretty much the only reason I'm sharing this is because I'm bored, and I thought you guys might want to know what it is I pre-occupy myself with besides translations.  Yes - music is my bane.  Stay away from my Mio. :O

[news + rant] Fanime and GT

Omg, 3 blog posts in a day and within minutes of each other?
It's finally here, I'll be there roaming around looking at god knows what for some lulz and just relax for awhile.

Anyway, team related stuff :

• After Fanime, I'll get started asap on busting out nurnrunrurnurnrurnurururrnur chapters 3-4 for a duo release considering how long the scripts have been gathering dust.
• I already sent the script for Tokubetsu (Takto) to Noel, go figure how long she will take to typeset this.
• We've picked up another project, thing is, its handwritten so the progress (what progress) is rather slow.

Probably not.  Still, feel free to download this compiled version of the entire Oshiete Kudasai X Katei Kyoushi short by Kamino Ryu-ya - assuming that that's all there is to this story.  This release features editing from Noel (formerly of Team Vanilla), so Kudos still goes out to Team Vanilla for helping us out with this project.

Do you think this series still needs more chapters?  I don't think so.  Still, it was fun working on this.  Now, if only Kamino would hurry up and bring out something to close our beloved Princess of Golf with.

[update] Need blog posts for releases

Yeah, I need the blog page release thing stuff to release a new project along with Oshiete 1-3 compilation. I'll try to get Tokubetsu out before I leave for Fanime on Thursday but no promises, Nurnurnurnurnur will be a ch3+4 combined release for the delay and I'll get that out after I come back on Monday.

Also, I'm rewatching something that I watched long ago, +1 if you recognise it.

Post hijack: Sorry for all the delays.  I'll admit it's my fault the group is coming to a halt in releases, and I've repaid Tech by bitch slapping him with sharp-tongued responses.  RL is getting the better of me so it seems.

Still, I'd like to update people that I'll be in this "twilight zone" like state until the first or second week of June.  We have quite a backlog atm, so that means you can be rest assured that releases will still come out little by little.  Packaging and release preparation issues aside, they're all pretty much ready for release.  I just won't be working on any translations (Oreimo or otherwise) for quite some time.

This was quite a tumultuous release - and I mean that in the strictest sense of the word.  Not only did we have some misunderstandings regarding who was to edit this... we ended up with two separate versions. -_-;  This is where diplomacy failed, and as much as I wanted to make sure nothing ends on a sour note because of this debacle, I can only do so much.

So if it means anything, I'd like to thank Harmonian over at Team Vanilla for putting up with the mess that came about, as he edited this for the solo release.  The second version was done by none other than Noel, who is apparently floating at the moment between both LWB and Genesis... For reasons that aren't clear to even me, she edited the compilation version of this release, which is also included in this post.

Politics aside, let's get back to the release at hand.  Our pervert-in-denial Miko invites her horny after-school tutor to the beach for who knows what reason, only to have another outdoor love-making session - this time in broad daylight.  Daring much, yes?  But more so, an even more daring confession by... Well, let's see if what some of you have been guessing is actually correct. ;)  This looks like the last part in this story from Kamino, so enjoy it!

Kind of how I'm feeling right now... Anyway, the team isn't dead, just a bit behind at the moment. I finally got around to watching Aria and well, feeling too damn lazy to do any cleaning or typesetting for that matter. I'll probably get started once I wake up after I go to sleep when I finish the blog post.

Anyway, Ed has finally returned to this hospital (and fer fucks sake, he isn't terminally ill or anything, he is a DOCTOR) so the team has been scrambling around to see what is going on, we now officially have two different copies of Oshiete chapter 3, one typesetted by Harmonian and one typesetted by Noel. Fuck.

I have no clue how did this screw up happen, I told Ed like 6 times that I wanted Noel to typeset chapter 3 for consistency's sake since she did chapters 1&2 but he wanted an LWB/TV editor because to him, that's the consistency. Whatever, idiot. Since I don't really want to waste either copy, we'll be using Harmonian's copy for the individual chapter and Noels for the chapter 1-3 compilation.     TL:DR - Expect chapter 3 within 2-3 days

The Reak(Takto) project is still looking for a set of cleans which I'll be doing my self (again) since the last 4 versions all have problems (mostly leveling and staff issues) so once I finally manage to get a proper clean, Noel will typeset this so expect this out within a week max.    TL:DR - Expect it in a week

Nurunurunurnurnur whatever it's called will be released... soon. Not sure when.

So we're kinda restructuring the staff at the moment.  Unfortunately, I won't be around much anymore because I'm heading back to the hospital in a day... Work will pile up again, and most likely you won't see much work getting done on my end - which is why I prepared some kind of backlog just in case.

That means a big lag in the progress of Oreimo PSP, since at the moment it appears that I'm the chief translator for the time being.  Still, I hope to do a script a day at the least - but honestly, that's pushing it on my end.

So that's just a heads up.  Another translator would be great, though. *whistles*

But it's azunyan - and I love my azunyan.  'Nuff said.  I picked this for simply that reason... plus the amazing artwork in this doujin.  The story is a bit... typical... but otherwise, it's got enough teasing and eye candy to make you wish they weren't brother and sister to begin with.

Another thing you might want to know is that this was a joint project with Little White Butterflies, specifically with NOEL (when she was still or still is there... I dunno)... and guess what, this has been in the works for three - get that, THREE FRIGGIN' MONTHS.  Procrastination is fine, yeah... but damn Noel, what the hell?  You live up to your reputation, and I salute you for that. -_-;

But yeah, little sisters sure are amazing, huh?  Is this a siscon thing I got going on? Who knows... all I know is, Azunyan is lurve.

[Update] Heads up.

(Cookie points to whoever knows the relationship between Azunyan and Kirino. :P)

You might have noticed that our releases have been coming out rather successively.  Two reasons for this: 1) The backlog is finally moving, and 2) I'm extremely free at the moment.  But the latter won't be so for long.  In fact, I won't be working on any new scripts for the blog until the end of the week, and maybe even a few days after that.  Come May, I'll be back in the hospital... so chances are, this past week is the only time I would have ever had to have released so many scripts at once.

And it's not only the genesis scripts I'm talking about.  I've been busy on the "other end" by working on scripts for Oreimo PSP, which by the way could REALLY use another translator.  If you know anyone who might be interested, please send them flying over to that link.

Back back to genesis matters, there's still much to expect.  There still IS a backlog (surprisingly), and whether that be a good or bad thing is a matter of question... because it's not only me who's going to be gone till the end of the week... but even Tech is gonna disappear in a few hours for the whole of April 20 for some weird annual pot thingy that I can't come to grips with understanding, other then the fact that people really like getting smashed that badly.  Please do me a favor and make sure you get back in one piece, 'kay?

So as a heads up, expect a little slow down in the releases compared to the first half of this month.  Still, we have some pretty good releases coming up.  More Kamino Ryu-ya (because we lurve her), a relatively new artist "Reak" who has promising talent (and interesting story choices), and a long overdue Azunyan that SHOULD have been done ages ago.

Lastly, we're kinda getting a lot of applications for editor, but none for translator?  C'mon, really?  I feel like a lone wolf, right now... I could sure use some company. :(

It's been an amazing half-year, and it's also been an amazing conclusion to this phenomenal work.  In fact, MxS was the first manga we ever worked on using the gTeam name, and is also perhaps THE reason why we enjoy bringing to you so many other works by Ryu-ya, such as Oshiete Kudasai X Katei Kyoushi, Princess of Golf - and most recently, Shintaichuu Nurunuru Desu.

But the work doesn't stop there.  We're determined to bring out ALL chapters of this great work, completely decensored - from start to finish.  Simply because we love this artist so much.  Sue us for being passionate.

Again, helping us with cleans and decensors for this big project is none other than H9Eleven - and be sure to give him a warm thank you for the decensors in this chapter!

With that said, enjoy this final chapter!  I won't spoil anything for you, but just so you know... this chapter will NOT fail you.  I guarantee it. :D

PS - I included a link with the compiled chapters 7-11 of this work, which contains our HQ versions (all from the tank), and only chapters 10 and 11 completely decensored.

[Update] Just because...

Just because I'm bored at the moment.  Well, more like waiting on Tech regarding a part on typesetting chapter 11 of Sanshimai.  He's making me use this weird program that basically allows him to watch everything I'm doing, and he can even move around my mouse and control my cursor and what not.  It's kinda like having a stalker watch you and you know it. D:

Suffice it to know that Sanshimai Ch. 11 is almost done, but I'm procrastinating at the moment.  Don't mind me, I'm just excited because my new Computer is shipping in today, and that means a BIG boost in terms of my productivity.  It'll also mean I can evaluate more thoroughly leveling problems, which were brought up in the last release.

Oh... and did I mention I'm look for translators?  Not just for the gTeam, but for the Oreimo PSP project, as well.  You don't expect me to translate the entire thing by myself now, do you?  Good boy.

Lastly, you might have noticed the new poll.  I'm pretty convinced that Ryu-ya is a girl (based on her style of story writing, etc.), but wind has come my way that Ryu-ya was seen at a recent comiket and confirmed to be a man. D:  Do you believe it?  I most certainly don't want to...  So feel free to vote on what you think he/she/it is.

No, we aren't blind.  We're well aware that a commissioned translation of chapters 1 and 7 of this tank were recently released... and chapter 5, in particular, has also been hanging around for quite some time as a lone release... but we're pretty serious on this one.

We lurve our Ryu-ya, which is why we're going to give this tank a Genesis touch, from beginning to end.  Pretty clever, eh?  But seriously, this will be a full-blown project on our end, and we'll see to it that we get to see all eleven chapters of this work fully translated.

So what's in chapter 1 and 2?  All-around basketball team manager that never says "no" meets unruly, hormone-driven, teen punks.  Sounds like fun.  Then we have innocent-looking angel face who turns out to be quite the nymphomaniac.  For what it's worth, the delicacies in the lines chosen by Ryu-ya are what make her works more than just good eye candy.

[News] Re-decorating

Housekeeping update:

• Kraut is fired.  I'm not too sure about the details, but he's resigning from active duty on the team (what active duty) as of this post.
• Scripted has been promoted (or demoted, I dunno) to backup editor.
• Dask and Lyon are designated as main editors
• Tech is cleaning and redrawing as we speak! D:
• ...and hopes to become main editor some day.  *gasp!*
• Ed is currently juggling several big projects, including Sanshimai Ch. 11 (currently typsetting), Oreimo PSP (already have scripts), and other not-so-interesting things.
• Another Kamino work coming out in the next 12 hours (supposedly).

That's basically it.  Oreimo PSP gets special mention, but I'll be working on it at the background.  Do check the Oreimo PSP TLWiki page for updates regarding that project.  Expect a release later on in the day, till then, see ya guys around. :)

Err... yes, it's a re-translation.  I wasn't really all that excited about translating this, hence the 3-month procrastination and tossing aside.  Otherwise, this was a pretty well made doujin, if I do say so myself.  With more focus on a story than flat-up sex, plus a pretty faithful rendition of the style from the original series - I'd say this was a pretty good read.

Many thanks goes out to Phantom Renegade of Trinity Translations for the typesetting. :)  In fact, you can expect a little more collaborations from these guys in the days to come.

I'm getting there, don't worry.

Besides being at the final stretch for the year (with paperwork and whatnot), things are proceeding as normal behind the gteam banner.  Though I wasn't able to bring out as many releases as I would've like last weekend, it's better than nothing, I guess.

Hopefully, I'll be back to regular translating come next week.  Otherwise, I've already offered myself as a staff in translating Oreimu PSP, but the project is stalled because the hacker is having a hard time extracting the scripts.  If someone out there would be so kind as to help the chap out - by all means, please do.  I'm pretty sure there's a good handful of you out there who'd love to play the game (especially since it features story lines AFTER the events of the "GOOD ROUTE" of the anime series)... so if you know someone, please send them flying over to that link. :D

Gotta give it to him.  I gave him this project for him to show off his skills to us, and he even went to the extent of decensoring it.  Now THAT'S passion right there.  Plus, these were pretty crappy scans to begin with... But overall, the clean up was pretty good (although I jumped in and added a noise filter to help soften things out).

So there you have it - horny truant stuck in remedial sessions bangs childhood best friend with a harsh slap of reality at the end.  It has a kinda bitter-sweet touch to it, but I wouldn't mind seeing more from Narumi.  Enjoy. :)
