[news] It's December! ~ Upcoming releases (hopefully)

I know I've been posting quite often, but I guess it's because I'm finding quite a lot of time on my hands.  I feel a bit sad with the slow pace of releases, and since Tech is kinda out for the week, and Dask is pretty much lost in the world of Black Ops, I'm sitting around translating scripts with no output.  Their problem, really... because they're just piling up the backlog.  The second reason why I feel sad is because it's almost my birthday... I'm getting old! D:

So what exactly do we have in store for you guys this December?  Here's a little peek at what we're up to:

  1. If you have projects that require not much cleaning (and basically just a typesetting), you could basically edit it yourself. Get Photoshop somewhere, learn the basics and there you go.

It's also way faster to insert your translation into the image directly instead of making a script first, but it's more tedious if you're someone who makes lots of script changes.

I like doing a straight-to-image translation, especially when doing speed translations. Takes me around an afternoon to do a standard tank chapter from start to finished QC (aka ready for publication). One thing I find kinda weird is that I'm faster translating and editing at the same time than editing for other people lol.

  2. I can typeset, like, 20 pages a day, but I'm a lousy Editor/Rebuilder and I know squat about Japanese to Translate... luckily my Teammates at Trinity are oh-so skilled on that (even if my Script Provider is somewhat slow)

I'm tempted to, but I'm kinda busy in RL, so much of my time is spent on translations. I hate to say it, but I take more time than I think is necessary to translate because I worry much about balancing a faithful translation alongside a decipherable one - kinda like what you mentioned in your part 2.

And though it doesn't look like it, I am busy. I'm basically stealing internet at the hospital as I speak, lol! I shouldn't dare dabble in the e-hentai galleries, should I? :P

I use InDesign for my typesetting, simply because I've done layout designing in the past, and it's the most familiar program for me to use. It's much more handy than PS, imo, and copy-pasting the text from the script is pretty straightforward. Still, I can finish typesetting relatively quickly, but colored works (like the Miku one) with special texts take much longer. D:

You can't really blame us for being slow on scripts. I, personally, do several scripts at once just to distribute the work. As you can see by the number of projects on board, I have quite a lot of work on my hands. All of those projects have SOME amount of translation done, ranging from 10% to 100%.

All things being equal, though, I think I'm much faster (and organized) than my team members here, kekeke. Tech and Dask - get your shit together, man! :D

You haven't given me the raws to it, so naturally, I didn't have a picture to put up, anyway. I can just add it in, anyway.

Speaking of which, you never told me about the valssu work. I have a bone to pick with a certain Dutchman, but I'll just tell you about it some other time.

Forgive me for being a little slow... but I just read chapter 3 of TLR-D, and I didn't realize that it was actually a SERIALIZED manga. Well... you're the boss, and I love the series, so I'm down to translating it. Plus, since it's serialized as an ecchi manga, it has furigana! Joy!!!

  8. You've already got the raw? If you do, get started then send it either to the recruit or the dutchman or even the idiot for cleans and then give it to me or let the recruit typeset some. Computer should be ready tomorrow or Sunday...

I don't have the raw... I just read it off the e-hentai galleries.

  10. I am willing to do the editing for some of your stuff if you want. I kind of want to work on the rest of Mozaiku x Sanshimai.

Just send me a PM at LWB.

Yes wai. Although this is the Non-H entry in the list. Utsura Uraraka is an excellent mangaka, and it's a shame people aren't translating his works. D:

  14. You actually make it appear so easy along with your presentation however I to
find this topic to be really one thing which I think I might never understand.
It kind of feels too complex and very broad for me.

I'm having a look ahead to your subsequent publish, I will attempt to get the hang of it!

    My site: interesting article
